Our O2A2 (Only One of Any Asset) VN Game Jam: Queer Edition game is here at last!

Confluence is an epilogue story in which Hugo, one of the main characters in Of Sense and Soul, is reflecting on the past and present in light of having found love and a "happy ending" in the aftermath of the game.

I wanted to create a narrative that represents what the broader narrative is about: namely, queer happiness, growth through change, and hope for days ahead. Hugo, being the resident poet of Of Sense and Soul, seemed a fitting narrator for his own happy ending!

The creative challenge of using just one of every asset (when the main game uses far more than that) was refreshing! I was able to apply everything I've learned making the OSAS Extended Demo here, including camera movements and text manipulation, as well as learn a lot about implementing GUI elements!

The story itself stands at under 700 words, but it's been a hugely emotional thing for me to write and has touched the hearts of everyone who has read it thus far. If you play Confluence, I hope you find it just as heartwarming an experience, whether you're acquainted with Hugo and his story or not!
